FOUNDER & MENTOR

“Without the support from the people of Lenawee County, we would not be where we are today!”


Joe Ann Steele, a licensed independent insurance agent, founded Joe Ann Steele Insurance Center to provide her clients with secure and safe financial solutions. 


Joe Ann cared for her clients as if they were family. She believed that a fulfilling life and career was created through service to others, volunteering, and community involvement.


She established herself as a strong leader in the Lenawee County community and mentored many successful individuals and businesses in downtown Adrian. 


Joe Ann's legacy lives on as a testament to her dedication to others and her community.

Susan Steele

President / Owner

Susan became a silent co-owner of the Joe Ann Steele Financial Center in 2008, and embraced a more active role in 2014. With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, she oversees all facets of the Financial Center.
Susan is also a licensed independent insurance agent representing a carefully selected group of financially sound and reputable insurance companies. 
Susan sincerely cares about her clients as well as the community of Lenawee County, where she has been a life-long resident. Susan strongly believes in treating her client’s needs as if they were her own, ultimately giving them peace of mind.

Susan Steele

PRESIDENT & OWNER

Susan became a silent co-owner of the Joe Ann Steele Financial Center in 2008, and embraced a more active role in 2014. Upon her Mother's passing in 2016, Susan became the sole owner of the company. With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, she oversees all facets of the Financial Center.


Susan is also a licensed independent insurance agent representing a carefully selected group of financially sound and reputable insurance companies. 


Susan sincerely cares about her clients as well as the community of Lenawee County, where she has been a life-long resident. Susan strongly believes in treating her client’s needs as if they were her own, ultimately giving them peace of mind.

Shannon Robotham

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT & CLIENT SERVICE MGR.

Shannon originally joined the Joe Ann Steele Financial Center in 2011 and spent 7 years with the business. During that time, she obtained her bachelor's degree in business administration from Siena Heights University while working full time at the office strengthening her skills in the insurance industry. 


Shannon came back to the office in the spring of 2024 and picked up right where she left off taking care of the client's day-to-day needs and overseeing the client service portion of the business. Her customer service skills are second to none, and she truly cares for every client here at the office and looks forward to assisting them. Shannon completed and passed her insurance licensing exam in 2024 to further her knowledge and skills to assist our clients. 


Shannon prides herself on treating every client as if they were her own parents and genuinely enjoys interacting and getting to know them all.
